Halfway through the Globe Pro Fiji and Aritz Aranburu has four events under his belt (albeit, he was injured for two of them), and What’s On Tour decided to catch up with Spain’s hard-charging natural-foot to find out if the Dream Tour is everything he thought it would be? What are the ups? What are the downs? How many numbers has he pulled since joining the best of the best?
1) Two events down this season, how has your experience on the Dream Tour been so far?
"Since the injury, I’ve been sitting in front of the computer watching the webcasts. The injury has been a really grateful experience for the rest of my career. I just worked on getting fit asap to come back even stronger.
2) What’s the best thing about being on the ASP World Tour?
"11 perfect locations."
3) What’s the worst thing about being on the ASP World Tour?
"Being injured, but back now!"
4) What is something unexpected that you’ve found since you’ve become a member of the ASP Top 45?
"I wasn’t really thinking that I could injure myself – ha ha...and sometimes, the waves are not that great too, but the rest its amazing. That’s why we call it Dream Tour."
5) Do you have a pre-heat routine?
"Some Yoga warming a couple hours before the heat. When the moment gets closer, I listen to techno music. That music makes me concentrate a lot."
