Graylord Still in Hawaii

Rollercoaster North Shore Ride

It's been an up and down first week for the new recruits on the North Shore. They arrved into the first genuine rock woppa but since then it's been down base line low and for the last couple of days has hovered around that size where Rockies is pumping and packed and everywhere else is just not doing it. There must be at least 10 times the number of surfers here that have arrived in the last few days compared to the first group of Surf Solutions Hawaii Project hopefuls. Still, Dane Hall, Lyndon Wake, Toby D, Luis Eyre and Stuey Cambo have been catching waves inbetween the general wonderment of the bread and butter surfing of Pancho and the next level bazonkas of Jordi.

Surfboards have been a nightmare with various glassers flooded out and shaping bay backlogs meaning some of the crew are still without their true weapons. This includes Head honcho 'Hacklord' Gray who by most accounts has been 'struggling' without a shortboard. The big boards are getting dusty and all eyes are pinned on LOLA and what the North Pacific has headed our way for the last week. Like a scrappy Tyne Wear derby draw we are not quite satisfied. The talk from all is of hope for something solid. Hopefully we'll get a chance to stop the talking and see what these kids have in their boardies.
