In Hawaii with White Lightening and Pancho

With the WCT season fast approaching, team ripcurl have spread to all corners of the globe. While the rest of the WCT team are searching a new chain of islands, Mick, Pancho and I decided to start our preps on the island of Hawaii. The goal was "to get fit as fuck and surf our arses off." There were two massive swells back to back but the winds were onshore so it was torture. Our friend and top film producer Pricket from Prickett films had helicopters, the Hawaiian water rescue team and two jet skis set up. What a baptism of fire for Mick who hadn't towed here before, but he was ready. "I've towed heaps before at home and at Teahupoo, but nothing like this... see how we go." Mick is in really good form, as is Pancho, both surfing and training every day. They are laying the foundations and dropping deposits into their 2007 campaign which starts on the Goldy for the first event Feb 27. It will be good to see where everyone else is at.
