We have one Marlon Lipke model Semente surfboard to give away! The surfboard specifications are 6´1"x 18.1/4"x 2.1/4" and it features a concave bottom with glass on fins for Marlon-style power gouges.

Congratulations to our lucky winner: Chris James!

Semente Surfboards was started in 1982. The word 'Semente' means seed, the founders and owners Miguel Katzenstein and Nick Uricchio chose this name as a statement: growth was the game plan. 2007 marks Sementes' 25th year in business, what started as a small local surf board label has now set deep roots throughout the European market and has had success with athletes in surfing competition around the globe.

Nick Uricchio has been shaping boards since 1979 and is presently one of the most sought after shapers in Europe. With input from his own team which includes surfers like Gony Zubizarreta, Marlon Lipke, José Gregório, Nicolau Von Rupp, Miguel Ximenez and Joana Rocha, plus feedback from travelling pros, Nick has stayed on top of modern surfboard design. His own passion for surfing and the ocean in general also play a major role in his success as a shaper.

The original location Miguel and Nick chose for the planting of Semente is inspirational for any surfer, Ericeira is loaded with world class surf spots and it has been Sementes' home since day one.

These days Sementes Surfwear and accessories are on sale in most major surfshops in Portugal, and the label stands as the oldest national Surfwear label on the market.

So what is the key to a 25 year run? "A solid friendship, a lot of dedication to your work and being surrounded by the right people," say the owners.
