Quiksilver have just launched their epic new book 'The Mountain and the Wave, The Quiksilver Story' - a 320-page, full colour book. This unique work tells the ascension of the brand, from its humble origins to the cultural phenomenon it has generated. It's a story born from a passion, inspired by the two greatest natural playgrounds on earth - the mountain and the sea.
The book pays a vibrant tribute to all the people that have built and continue conceiving their lives around their passion for surfing, sharing the same dreams of freedom and opened large spaces, far from the mainstream paths, relentlessly pushing back the limits of the possible in the furthest place of the world.
Far from just collecting the opinions and reminiscences of the Quiksilver pioneers and current managers, Phil Jarratt, surf writer and industry veteran, has assembled a team of the very best writers, photographers and artists from across the broad spectrum of the boardriding culture to make 'The Mountain and The Wave'.
This book required more than two years of work and a tremendous number of interviews. It is the most complete depiction of the surf, snow and skate industry ever presented.
