
From the 8th to the 20th of December 06, the 64 best surfers on the planet will be together on Pipeline beach in Hawaï. This year, 3 wildcards offered by Rip Curl and 16 locals who surf the famous Pipeline wave day in day out, will join the 45 pro-surfers of the WCT.

The British Surfing Association (BSA), founded in 1966 to promote surfing and represent the interests of all surfers in Great Britain and the Channel Islands, marks its 40th anniversary this year. The Nixon Surf Challenge took place in San Sebastien on Saturday 30th September with Puerto Rican surfer Dylan Graves being crowned king of the Surf Challenge 2006, snatching the title from Tahiti’s Hira Teriinatoofa after landing an amazing air reverse in Playa La Zurriola. Hira was closely followed by the Euro contingent with Gony Zubizarreta coming in 3rd and Fredo Robin coming in 4th.
