No Fear Koastal Kaos Surf Series
The inaugural No Fear Koastal Kaos Surf Series will be kicking off at Avalanche in San Diego California on October 14-15th. Including both the amateur series and the 25k No Fear Airshow, the San Diego-based series will entertain both amateur and professional surfers.
BSA Photography Exhibition
To celebrate it's 40th year anniversary, the British Surf Association (BSA) is translating the power and magic of the ocean to canvas in a gallery, which captures the soul of British surfing over the past 40 years through 40 iconic photographs. Photography plays a crucial role in surfing, with the most memorable images being the ones that capture the raw moments, showcasing why we love the sport so much.
Billabong Junior Pro Series
The Billabong Junior Pro Series Event 'In Memory of Ronnie Burns' was the final qualifying event in North America for the World Billabong Junior Championships. The event took place at Kewalo Basin, Oahu, Hawaii on August 31st, 2006, and saw Billabong grom Leila Hurst take third place when she was out-surfed by Carissa Moore in the semi finals.
Billabong Solo Chicas Circuit Result
Mirka Solar was announced the winner of the Billabong Solo Chicas Circuit last weekend. The final round of the contest, which took place at Zarautz, Guipúzcoa, attracted around 160 female competitiors for the girls-only surf festival with prizes of 3,000 euros, free surf lessons, trophies and gifts from Kustom and Billabong.
O’Neill Sultans of Surf
The O'Neill Sultans of Surf is the biggest event on the Belgian surfing calendar. The O'Neill Sultans of Surf pre-event will take place at Windekind Oostduinkerke on September 9-10th, with a top prize of free tickets to the final in Morocco in November.
Roxy Jam Women’s Longboarding Contest
Roxy, in conjunction with The Women's World Longboarding Championships (WWLC), will hold the first ever US ASP-sanctioned women's longboarding competition, the Roxy Jam Cardiff Featuring the Linda Benson Women's Longboard Pro.
Surfing World Record Attempt
An attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the “Most surfers standing on one wave” will be staged at Muizenberg Corner in Cape Town next month. The attempt coincides with an open debate on the shark situation around the Cape Peninsula and fund raising efforts for appropriate action to be taken.

Reigning ASP Women's World Champion Chelsea Georgeson (QLD, AUS) defeated current world number one Melanie Redman-Carr (WA, AUS) in the final of this year's Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle WCT held on September 4th.
Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle
The quarter-finals of the Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle took place this weekend in Seignosse, France. After a nail-biting contest, ASP Women's World Tour rookie Jessi Miley-Dyer (AUS) tasted sweet revenge when she eliminated six-time world champion and current world No. 1 Layne Beachley (AUS) in the quarter-finals of the Rip Curl Pro Mademoiselle on Sunday 3rd September.
ISA World Surfing Games
Huntington Beach has been announced as the host of the 2006 ISA World Surfing Games. The International Surfing Association (ISA) is the world governing body for the sport of surfing, recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), members of the ISA include the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries in six continents.
Pires Wins Buondi Billabong Pro
Billabong's top european surfer Tiago Pires sealed a great victory at the Buondi Billabong Pro (WQS event) for the second consecutive year. In consistent 3 to 5 ft wave at his home break in Ribeira de Ilhas, Ericeira, Portugal, Pires scored a total 19,20 point in the finals, with two 9+ waves, to secure his win in front of Hawaiian Fred Patacchia.
Capetown Surf Jam Results
The final day of the Roxy Surf Jam in Cape Town, South Africa, saw all the girls ripping in their heats. Clean three-foot lefts and rights were coming through consistently throughout the day, and the girls were tearing them apart all the way through to the notorious Long Beach shorebreak.
Surf Expo Schedule
Surf Expo, the longest-running trade show in the surfing industry, is due to kick off in Orlando in two weeks time. It has gradually grown over the last 31 years and now serves the board, beach and fashion markets. Thousands of retailers and exhibitors from across the country gather twice a year to celebrate the success and progression of the surf community on the east coast.
Roxy Surf Jam
The third of the Roxy Surf Jam events kicked off on Saturday 2nd September with some great weather, fun waves and hot surfing in Cape Town. The swell was in the three-foot range at Long Beach with strong offshore winds, and the girls were able to cut loose on the long left-handers.
