International Roxy Surf Team
The International Roxy Surf Team will be paying a visit to South West France this week. Sofia Mulanovich (Peru), 2004 world champion, Chelsea Georgeson (Australia), 2005 world champion, and Hawaiian Megan Abubo are currently in South West France to dispute the French leg of the WCT.
Hot Tuna/Summer of ’69 Surf Championship
The Hot Tuna ‘Summer of 69’ BPSA UK Tour Event took place this weekend at the scenic Porthmeor Beach in St Ives. More than 120 surfers over five divisions came to take part in this, the 4th leg of the tour, in 3-4 ft surf over the bank holiday weekend.
Billabong Pro Junior
The Billabong Pro Junior contest took place in Ericeira, Portugal this weekend. The event, which ran from August 25-27th, completes the Euro Pro Junior Tour (EPSA).
Surf Europe Party
Thanks to everyone who came to rinse it at the Surf Europe / Rip Curl Pro Super Series 2006 party at the Nori Boy in Soorts-Hossegor this Saturday night.
The Corona Hawaiian Open
The Corona Hawaiian Open leg of the U.S. Pro Longboarding Championships took place over August 23-26 at Kuhio Beach Waikiki, Oahu. Local surfer Ned Snow blazed to victory at Kuhio Beach today in the all-Hawaiian finals of the men's division of the Corona Hawaiian Open, winning $4,000 and denying his friend and fellow Waikiki-based longboarder, Kai Sallas, a chance at capturing the US championship title.
Rip Curl Pro Super Series in Seignosse
Australian surfers Michael Campbell (NSW) and Josh Kerr (QLD) have confirmed their spots on next year's Foster's ASP Men's World Tour by finishing first and second respectively at this year's 20th Anniversary Rip Curl Pro Super Series in Seignosse, France.
Peugeot SA Masters Championships
The Peugeot South Africa Masters Championships took place at St Michaels on Sea, from August 24-27th 2006. The event drew over 120 surfers from seven provinces competing Senior Men, Masters, Veterans and Legends categories.
East Coast Surfing Championships
The East Coast Surfing Championships were held in Virginia Beach from August 23-27th. With clean 2' - 3' surf, the action ran over five days with ASP events in men's, women's, juniors and longboard divisions.
