
After a year in hiatus, Europe’s prime left hander was back to it’s barrelling best today as the worlds top 45 surfers slugged it out in round one of the Billabong Pro in Mundaka.

Hot Tuna announced it has signed an exclusive agreement with pro surfer Shea Lopez, a veteran of the World Championship Tour (WCT), one of the most successful athletes still competing, and brother of WCT standout Cory Lopez.

Joel Parkinson beat Mick Fanning in an all-Australian final of the Quiksilver Pro to claim his first world surfing victory of the year and climb to fourth place in the rankings.

Now that the summer season is done and dusted, the Animal Surf Academy (ASA) is packing up and moving out to Morocco to set up winter camp. From 1st November through to April 2007 the ASA will set up just north of Agadir between Tamaraght and Tagazoute in its own traditional Moroccan villa located just a stones throw away from world class reefs, points and beach breaks including Boilers, Killers, Panoramas and the world renowned Anka point.
