The all-new Hurley Burleigh Pro Junior, a $20,000 7-star ASP rated event, will be based at world renowned Burleigh Heads, Australia, from Monday 22nd January through to Sunday 28th January 2007.

Andy Irons on a Vans Triple Crown Mission with Op Pro Hawaii Win
Hawaii's Andy Irons might have been beaten to the world title by Kelly Slater (Florida, USA) last month, but he hasn't wasted a moment dwelling on it. Picking up where he left off at Pipeline last December, Irons was back on the winner's stand today, taking out the Op Pro Hawaii final to get a jump on the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Series ratings.
Pancho Sullivan and Garcia Ousted from Op Pro
An increase in swell arrived on cue for the entrance of the top seeded surfers into the Op Pro Hawaii at Haleiwa's Ali'i Beach Park today, yet for many the injection of power and size was no guarantee for success. Now one round out from quarter final stage, only one of the Top 16-ranked World Qualifying Series surfers remains in the mix (Australian Dayyan Neve), and 15 of the top 32 seeds in the event have been eliminated. Defending Op Pro Hawaii champion Pancho Sullivan (Hawaii), and five-time winner of this event Sunny Garcia (Hawaii) were among the day's casualties.
Quiksilver Latin Pro Results
Venezuelan Jean Carlo Schaffer was crowned the champion of the eighth stage of the ALAS Latin and Caribbean Tour, the Quiksilver Latin Pro Venezuela, that ended with four to six feet waves on the legendary Punta Los Caracas beach.

Op Pro Hawaii Finds Waves at Avalanches
