
Heather Clark made a triumphant return to SA surfing when she narrowly scooped a well-deserved win in the Open division of the fourth and final Billabong 'Girls Get Out There' Surf Series event. The contest finished in wind affected one metre waves at Tableview in Cape Town on Sunday.

The Monster Energy Pro, presented by Billabong, resumed at Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii today with round two, after a one week hiatus in competition due to extreme winds and intense storm activity. Hawaiians used local knowledge to gain the edge over an international field of hopefuls, making light of the tricky six- to eight-foot surf that was still showing the unpredictability of disorganized storm swells.

19-year-old Gisborne surfer Daniel Proctor stepped up to claim his first Open Division victory in a national longboard competition with a clear cut win in the final of the Hyundai Longboard Classic at Sandy Bay, New Zealand this weekend. Proctor came in nearly two points clear of fellow Gisborne surfer and defending Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour champion Michael Fitzharris (Gis), with national longboard champ Daniel Kereopa (Rag) a further two points back in third place.

Local surfer Matt Hewitt took out the premier under 16 boys division of the first event of the Billabong Grom Series presented by Oceanbridge held at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, this weekend. The finals took place in testing conditions after a south-easterly front pushed through, ruining the clean conditions on offer during the morning.
