
Billabong Pro Jeffrey’s Bay event officials monitored conditions at the contest break of Supertubes all yesterday morning before calling the event off for the day at 11am local time.

Since the beginning of July, there’s been one surf competition after another and the Rip Curl team is ever present on the podiums! After some great top-three finishes at the Eurosurf comp in Anglet, the team is continuing to produce some very impressive results.

Foster’s ASP World Tour surfers Bede Durbidge (AUS) and Adriano de Souza (BRA) have advanced to Round 4 of the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay after winning their Round 3 heats today. The last two heats of Round 3 were wrapped up before the event was called off for the day.

The fifth leg of the ’07 Moskito Tour is for kids under 16 and presented by Electric, Globe, Santa Cruz and FCS. The event at Zarautz Spain was a huge success.

Johnny Hicks proved too strong for all comers on the final day of the Rip Curl GromSearch held at Back Beach in New Plymouth, New Zealand this weekend as he went on to win the under 16 boys division of the event. His day one form was a sign of things to come and he held that momentum through until the final even when the swell was dying and the tide had bottomed out.

Only five heats of Round 3 were completed before inconsistent conditions forced officials to put the remaining two heats of the round on hold.

Viking Surfboards Europe have signed up 21-year-old Welsh Open Ladies Champ Jo Dennison. Jo joins some pretty impressive international Viking company with riders including Josh Wilson, John Cammack, Savannah Bradley, Keahi Kam, Darlan Lopes and Andrea Esno to name a few.
