events: The ISA World Surfing Games is due to kick off in Huntingdon Beach, California today.
Bobby Martinez Wins Billabong Pro Mundaka
events: Reef rider Bobby Martinez claimed his second victory on the Men’s WCT on Friday, as he defeated Kelly Slater in the final of the Billabong Pro Mundaka. Bobby proved he was a forced to be reckoned with as he took down World Champ Andy Irons in the quarter finals and world ranked #10 Dean Morrison in the semis, only to be faced up against World Champ Kelly Slater in the main event.
Kelly Slater Wins Eighth World Title in Spain
events: Quiksilver athlete Kelly Slater (Cocoa Beach, Florida) won his eighth world surfing championship on Friday in Mundaka, Spain. With wins at the first two contests of the ASP World Championship Tour and consistent top five finishes the rest of the season, Slater’s victory at Mundaka culminates yet another incredible season for the surfer and further solidifies his place as one of the greatest surfers of all time.
Reef Classic 2006
events: Top surfers from all across South America are set to light the “SoupBowl” in Bathsheba on fire on November 3-5th. The South Americans will have to battle for the top spot and should expect tough competition from the Islands best surfers and the usual strong contingent from the USA, Europe and Caribbean region.
Rip Curl Pro Pipeline Masters
events: From the 8th to the 20th of December 06, the 64 best surfers on the planet will be together on Pipeline beach in Hawaï. This year, 3 wildcards offered by Rip Curl and 16 locals who surf the famous Pipeline wave day in day out, will join the 45 pro-surfers of the WCT.
