For at least a decade, Lanzarote has been one of the hottest spots in Europe to find year round consistent surf and sunshine. The area from Playa de Famara to La Santa rates as one of the best surf locations in Europe with a massive swell window: bigger in the winter and hotter in the summer (the average water temperature is between 20-23 °C and air temperature is between 20-25°C).

If you’re starting out then the scenic sandy beach of Famara will be your first port of call. Alternatively, the waves of La Santa, El Quemao and Ghost Town will test any experienced rider.
